Boat Options
Information on the hull kit options shown above.
The standard parts for a river hull kit are shown above. More information on the parts and assembly is available in the instructions page.
Transom Step
A stepped transom is available on all our river jet boat hulls. This option replaces the standard sides and flat transom with extended side panels and the stepped transom parts shown below.
Note: This must be ordered at the same time as the hull kit.
Pros:
– Looks great
– Convenient for stepping off the river bank or climbing onto the boat from the water
– Splash guard for pump
– Extra storage
Cons:
– A little bit of weight
– Additional cost
– Additional work
Bench Seat
A simple bench seat kit can be added to any of the WattsCraft river jet boat hull kits under 4m.
The bench seat is one piece that is easily welded/bolted in front of the engine. A small bulkhead to block off the gap between the floor and the seat bottom is included.
Note: Install this in last once the engine is installed and leave enough space to get the engine out.
Pros:
– 5 min to install
– Cheaper than most seating options
– Light
– Storage under seat
– Heaps of space in the engine bay to install engine components
Cons:
– Can be noisier than a tight engine cover box and two seats
– If it is welded in it restricts access to the hull bottom and engine bay a little
A 600mm wide strip of 10mm thick UHMWPE plastic. Great for smaller lighter boats to slide over gravel. Comes pre-cut and bent to fit the hull. Includes 150 x fasteners; M6 countersunk stainless bolts, nylon sealing washers, dome nuts. Intake hole not pre cut, see instructions page for further details. Available for the 3-3.8m hull kits. Plastic is 3 meters long regardless of hull size so bow coverage is less on a 3.8m (but still sufficient)

A curved 25mm diameter pair of handrails to suit the foredeck of WattsCraft kits. Curved rails shown on the bow of a 3.4m WattsCraft in image above. Comes ready to TIG weld on.

CNC cut Hardox 450 (high strength steel) keel armouring. This makes your keel as rock-proof as possible. Well worth it if you run nasty very shallow rocky rivers regularly. We all have this on our own boats. Its does add a fair bit of weight so boats with smaller engines will need to think twice. Also no good if you use your boat in the salt. Slides much better than alloy but not as good as plastic. Comes bent, pre-drilled and countersunk. This makes it very easy to install & is the reason it costs a fair bit.

CNC cut plywood floor to fit into your hull nicely. Ply is a nice contrast to the alloy and wears well with oiling once a year. Helps keep the noise down and anti-slip. 9mm Hardwood plywood floor
A bulkhead to seperate the area under the foredeck. This replaces the standard foot rest bulkhead. Pros: Cons:
Foredeck Bulkhead
– Works well if you plan to add a access hatch to the foredeck
– Extra storage
– A little bit of weight
– Additional cost
– Additional work
A CNC cut intake block for easy installation of ASP intakes. Fits between the hull and intake foot. The grill for ASP intakes is 25mm thick and is installed on the bottom face of the intake. Hull thickness is 6-10mm on the smaller hull kits. This intake block will space the intake up so the grill bottom is flush with the bottom of the hull. Bolt-in not weld in. Typically 6 x M8 countersunk bolts either side are used to bolt the intake to the hull bottom. Bolts go through the hull, spacer block and intake foot.
